The job of the Home Aide is to assist the elderly with their daily needs whether its personal care or companion,(depending on the assigned care tasks and certification).
Each client has a care/task plan in the home that itemizes the needs and interventions for that particular client. The clients are mainly elderly or disabled adults.
The Home Care interventions range from preparing meals, daily showers, taking walks outside, laundry, light Housework, and other personal care interventions.
The candidate must have the Ability to speak, write & communicate in English.
The Aide is required to be punctual and be on time as scheduled.
A Medical Physical,(done within the last 12 months) PPD test is needed, and the titers,(MMR & Chicken Pox lab results).
A NYS Aide certificate or 2 years experience for other positions.
